Limited.
I hate this word.
Google Down Syndrome and this word appears on almost every page. Disabled. Delayed. Disorder. Defective.
It screams:
Can’t
Will never
Impossible
I refuse to believe that.
I know God knit Knightly in my womb to be the way that he is. He is fearfully and wonderfully made; and, there is a reason God made him with Down Syndrome – as there is a reason for any person being born with their very own personality, physical features, and capabilities.
I’m so excited to have made a discovery in this journey of parenting a child with special needs.
They are the perfect candidates of making the impossible possible.
And time and again, I’m hearing more and more stories of exactly how they are doing just that. So I’m eager to show off what abilities people with disabilities have proven they can achieve.
Because if they can overcome what challenges them, so can you and I.
