What are you afraid of?
A year ago, I made a long list. My list included:
- Heights
- Swimming in cold water
- Popping balloons
- Running a long distance
- Roller coasters
- Meeting my favorite celebrities (this didn’t terrify me more than make me embarrassingly giddy (poor David))
- Scary Movies
- Zombies
- Telling other people I struggled with panic attacks
When I first battled with panic attacks, I honestly couldn’t imagine getting up in the morning and doing anything “normal” without feeling overwhelmed with fear and worry. I felt useless, incapable.
It was horrible to feel so weak.
One program recommended I try something: List out your fears. Then, face them.
So I did.
And guess what happened the past year?
To name a few
what’s facing your fears like?
EXHILARATING
I can’t fairly describe how empowering it is to go from quivering with fear as I take the steps to face one…to feeling like superwoman after it’s done.
My new list (still brainstorming more):
- Running a half marathon
- Swimming in the ocean
- Climbing 50 feet
- Skiing
- Tall water slides
- Eating snails
So what are you afraid of?
Name your fears.
Then, f*** them (face ’em).
what fears have you faced?
I would love, love to hear your stories! Message me!
